Samsung (Tizen)
Install a player app from the Samsung Apps store. Some apps show a device code on first launch, which we activate for you.
LG (webOS)
Use the LG Content Store. LG’s Magic Remote pointer makes typing your login details easier.
Android TV & Google TV
Found on many Sony, TCL, Hisense and Philips sets. Google Play has the widest choice of player apps.
Android guideRoku TV, Vizio & others
Their app stores rarely offer suitable player apps. A Fire TV Stick or Google TV device on an HDMI port is the easy route.

Setting up Smartiflix on a Smart TV
Update the TV software
Settings → Support → Software Update on Samsung; Settings → General → About this TV on LG.
Install the player app we recommend
Search the TV’s app store for the exact name. Check the developer name too.
Open the app and note any code
If the app shows a device code or MAC address, send us a photo and we activate it.
Or enter your login
Username, password and server URL, exactly as in your activation message.
Load the guide and pick favorites
Give the guide a minute to fill, then save your most-watched channels.
Picture settings for live TV
- Picture mode: “Standard” or “Filmmaker / Cinema” looks more natural than “Vivid”.
- Motion smoothing: some people like it on for sports and off for films; try both.
- Network: if the TV has an Ethernet port, use it.
- Energy saving: turning it down can make the picture brighter.

Which Smart TV app does Smartiflix use?
Smartiflix works inside independent player apps. The best one depends on your TV brand and model year, so we recommend a specific app when you order.
My Samsung TV cannot find the app. Why?
App availability differs by model year and region. Send us your exact model and we will suggest an alternative app, or a streaming stick if needed.
Can I control Smartiflix with my normal TV remote?
Yes. Channel up/down, the guide and favorites all work with the remote in most player apps.
